ARRIVAL BY RAIL

Trains depart from Paddington to Oxford very frequently, hourly and sometimes more frequently.
Using the above links it is straightforward to view the timetables.

 

There is a taxi rank at Oxford Rail Station.
It is a journey of about 10 minutes to the Martin Wood Complex, depending on traffic.

Oxford Tube (www.stagecoach-oxford.co.uk)
or
www.megabus.com (pre-bookable on the internet and drops passengers at Oxpens Coach Park, Oxford - about 5 minutes away from Gloucester Green)

Bus terminus at London is Victoria Coach Station and at Oxford is Gloucester Green Coach Station.

Please note:
Oxford City Council has implemented a Traffic Strategy which makes it extremely difficult to travel into central Oxford by car, especially with luggage, and most people will need to use the Park and Ride service.

From Thornhill to Seacourt (West to East route)

Overnight parking is available here.

60p for 24 hours, 1.20 for 48 hours, 1.80 for 72 hours, (this is the maximum stay)

Take the 400 (direction Seacourt) and get off at Gloucester Green B take a taxi from there (taxi information on previous page)

Take the 300 (direction Redbridge) get off at the Radcliffe Infirmary – 7 minute walk to the Martin Wood Complex

Take the 300 (direction Pear Tree) get off at Radcliffe Infirmary as above.

Please note:
The above 2 Park and Ride Car Parks are not recommended for overnight parking
B they are only manned till 11pm. The only way to arrange an overnight stay here is to speak (in advance) to the parking control on +44 (0)1 865 240 924

There is a Park and Ride service from the North (Water Eaton) to the City - Route no 500 - get off at Keble Road/St Giles Church.

PARKING

Secure overnight parking can be arranged at Gloucester Green Underground Car Park at a charge of £5 in addition to the normal tariff. This means that a stay of 24 hours would typically cost £22, although this is reduced if the stay is for overnight but for less than the full 24 hours.
